Perhaps one of the most highly anticipated game releases of all time is confirmed to launch in fall 2025. This is the beginning of major shifts: game publishers are ready to delay their games to avoid the initial three-week blast zone that is GTA 6’s release date, while others criticise the 11-year period of wait between the previous version and this one.
Update: GTA 6 is now delayed until May 2026. According to The Guardian, Rockstar Games has delayed the launch of the game until May 2026, through a brief post on their website:
